Our Mission

The One Step Closer Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization whose main goal is to ease, as much as possible, the lives of those who suffer from Cerebral Palsy.
Founded in 2007, The One Step Closer Foundation (OSCF) is a non-profit, charitable organization whose main goal is to impact the lives of those who suffer from cerebral palsy.
The OSCF will, through various fundraising efforts, support existing groups, individuals, and research. For those already coping with cerebral palsy (CP), the OSCF strives to promote awareness and understanding of the disease through education programs, support groups and access to previously unknown research.  The OSCF will also direct funds to researchers seeking for medical advancements in treating and diagnosing CP.

Our Focus

The OSCF will accomplishing its mission by focusing on three principle areas:
•To help promote a national awareness, recognition and acceptance of persons with cerebral palsy.
•To financially assist those who have or are taking care of individuals that have been medically diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and are financially unable to handle all of the considerable costs associated with this disease. On a case by case basis, OSCF will offer financial support to those in need of medical equipment, therapy, rehabilitation and or other costs related to CP.
•To support research to find ways to alleviate, as much as possible, the effects and burdens brought on by CP with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for the disease.

Our Programs

Tax deductible donations to the One Step Closer Foundation support a wide variety of programs and initiatives.

Hospital Programs

We have worked with numerous hospitals to design programs to benefit patients during their hospital stays. It might mean bringing athletes and celebrities to meet with patients, providing games and toys to children’s hospitals or funding camp trips for patients to get out of their rooms and out into nature for a while.

One on One Initiative

This program is designed to provide assistance on an individual level to people primarily with Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy impacts each person differently and there is no one answer to everyone’s problems. By providing a more personalized level of attention, we hope to make a greater difference and impact in their everyday life.

Sports Night Out

This program involves taking people (adults and children), with various disabilities from various hospitals and rehabilitation centers all over the nation out to various sporting events around the US.

Research & Wellness Initiative

This program supports research to find ways to alleviate the effects and burdens brought on by CP with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for the disease. We do this through direct contributions to research facilities and through providing seed money to worthy research studies.

Help Make a Difference

Join our fight to make CP a thing of the past. We make a difference in so many lives through your help and generosity.

Thank you for your support and your contributions to our cause.
